School Nurse (RN/LPN)

Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking a School Nurse (RN or LPN) to support student health and well-being in Commerce Township schools. In this role, you will provide direct care to students, manage acute and chronic health conditions, administer medications, and respond to medical emergencies while collaborating with school staff and families.

Clinical Setting

• Elementary through high school environments
• School-based health services

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies
• Monitor and manage student health records to ensure compliance with state regulations
• Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention, hygiene, and wellness
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary
• Collaborate with school staff and community health resources to support students' well-being

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN or LPN license in Michigan
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric, school health, or community health nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Strong assessment skills and critical thinking ability
• Ability to work independently
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Schedule and Compensation
