The Niskayuna Central School District is hiring a temporary part-time School Nurse (RN or LPN) for the 2026-2027 school year. This position provides professional nursing services to support student and employee health and safety within the school setting. You will work with a medically fragile child in the UPK program for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities
- Administer first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees
- Assist the School Physician with physical, visual, and auditory screening examinations of students and employees as needed
- Prepare and maintain health records for school authorities as needed
- Assist at school immunization clinics as needed
- Arrange transportation for sick or injured students or employees to hospitals, homes, doctors' offices, and dentists' offices in cases of emergency
- Prepare records and reports as required
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of nursing approved by the New York State Education Department with a course approved as qualifying for Registered Professional Nurse, OR completion of a course of study approved by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current New York State RN or LPN license
