School Nurse (RN & LPN) | 2026–2027 School Year

Sage Connections, a woman- and therapist-owned special education staffing company, is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 school-based nursing services for a 6-year-old female student during the 2026–2027 school year. This position is based in New Bedford and offers comprehensive support from a team experienced in school nursing challenges.

Clinical Setting

You will work onsite in a school setting, providing direct nursing care and health management support to a single student throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Manage student health records and medication administration
• Support chronic health condition management, such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
• Coordinate with parents, school staff, and outside healthcare providers as needed
• Maintain documentation and comply with health-related regulations
• Participate in IEP or 504 Plan meetings when relevant

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 35 hours per week
• Position dates: ASAP through June 2027, with potential to renew

Required Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license in Massachusetts
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric or school-based nursing experience
