School Nurse (RN)

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, school-based position serving students in grades K-8th in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will provide nursing services within the school setting, collaborating with school staff and families to support students' health and wellness while helping them succeed academically and functionally.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a school-based environment serving elementary and middle school students (grades K-8th). HealthPRO Pediatrics is an established leader in pediatric and school-based therapy, offering a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment with mentorship and clinical support from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students' health and wellness
• Participate in the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process, including developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services
• Provide nursing services using current best practices based on prescribed services outlined in the IEP
• Maintain all required documentation including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs in compliance with district requirements and ASHA's code of ethics

Required Qualifications

• Current active RN license in the state of residence or state of placement
• Successful experience working with culturally diverse families
• Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development

Schedule and Compensation

• Full-time position: 40 hours per week
• No weekends or holidays
• Summers off
• Competitive pay: $43/hour
• W-2 employment
