School Nurse (Registered Nurse, RN)

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a school-based nursing position in Leonardtown, Maryland. This is a non-contract role with an immediate need and a projected start date of September 14, 2026. You will provide health and wellness assessments and support to pediatric students in a school setting, helping them reach their maximum performance potential within an educational model of practice.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a school environment supporting medically complex, medically fragile, and chronically ill students. The specific assignment and work locations will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing support to medically complex or medically fragile students
• Monitor students with chronic or acute health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments
• Conduct health assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Develop and follow individualized care plans
• Perform complex medical procedures when required
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
• Support student health screenings and referrals
• Promote health and wellness within the school environment

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 37.5 hours per week
• 7.5 hours per day

Compensation

• Pay range: $48–$53 per hour

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• School Nurse Certification (CSN) is not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a school setting
