School Nurse - PRN

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a PRN School Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to students across three school locations in Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Lanham. You will promote the health and well-being of students, ensuring they have access to quality medical care and support throughout their educational journey.

Clinical Setting

You will split time between Sheppard Pratt School locations in Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Lanham, working in a school-based healthcare environment alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to students with various medical needs
• Administer medications and provide wound care and first aid
• Coordinate with caregivers to provide medical treatment as indicated by each student's health needs and history
• Support the school psychiatrist in medication management
• Maintain cumulative and comprehensive documentation for each student's health record

Schedule

PRN (as needed), Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is an in-person position.

Required Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of working experience in a school setting

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $29.99 to $47.88 per hour, determined based on years and level of related experience.
