ATC Healthcare Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care in school settings throughout Duval County and surrounding areas. In this role, you will work with students of various ages and healthcare needs, delivering compassionate, age-appropriate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, physician, or advanced practice provider.
Clinical Setting
You will be assigned to various school locations throughout Duval County and surrounding areas, working Monday through Friday schedules. This is a full-time, part-time, or per diem position with flexible scheduling options and weekly pay.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to students under appropriate clinical supervision
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Monitor and document student health status and medication responses
- Perform nursing procedures including wound care, sterile dressing changes, catheterization, tube feedings, oxygen therapy, diabetic care, range of motion therapy, and pre- and post-procedure care
- Assist students with activities that promote daily living skills, social development, recreational participation, and reality orientation when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and health records
- Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow all ATC Healthcare policies, procedures, and school district guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience within the past three years
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to pass required background and drug screening
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
