School Nurse

Las Cruces Public Schools seeks a School Nurse to provide one-on-one health assistance to students in the Health Services department. This position is based in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct health assistance and care to individual students
• Maintain current CPR certification and perform high-quality CPR when needed (minimum 10 minutes)
• Serve as CPR Instructor after one year of employment

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Current New Mexico RN License
• Valid New Mexico School Nurse PED License (must be obtained prior to hire date)
• Current CPR certification with ability to perform high-quality CPR for a minimum of 10 minutes
• CPR Instructor Certification required after one year of employment
• Valid New Mexico Driver's License, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance with minimum liability coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of Registered Nurse experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
