School Nurse

HealthPro Pediatrics is seeking a 1:1 School Nurse to provide dedicated nursing services to students in Covington, GA. This full-time position offers a consistent school-based schedule with no weekends, no holidays, and summers off—ideal for nurses seeking work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in pediatric healthcare.

Clinical Setting

You will work within a school-based therapy environment as part of HealthPro Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage. The role involves collaborating with school staff, families, and an interdisciplinary pediatric team to support students' health and wellness needs.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students' health and wellness
• Participate in the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process, including developing present levels of performance, goals, objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services
• Provide nursing services using current best practices based on prescribed services outlined in the IEP
• Maintain all required documentation including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs in compliance with district requirements and ASHA's code of ethics

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in hospital, clinic, or public health settings
• Seizure management experience
• Respiratory care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior school-based nursing experience

Schedule and Employment

• Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week
• No weekends
• No holidays
• Summers off
• W-2 employment

Compensation and Benefits

• LPN: $30/hour and above
• RN: $40/hour and above
