School Nurse (Full-Time)

Marklund Day School in Bloomingdale is hiring a full-time School Nurse (RN or LPN) to address the health needs of students and coordinate comprehensive school health services. You will work with staff, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies to support students' educational opportunities. The school serves children and young adults ages Pre-K through 22 with multiple medical needs and autism spectrum diagnoses in a recently expanded 12,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility.

Clinical Setting

Marklund Day School is a nonpublic school serving students through partnerships with Chicago suburban school districts. The school provides specialized curriculum, positive behavioral interventions, and individualized student support. Clinical services include physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, art and music therapy, Snoezelen therapy, computer adapted technology, community programs, recreational therapy, and aquatic therapy.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications
• Perform tube feedings and treatments as prescribed
• Prepare annual health history documentation as needed for students
• Attend student Individualized Development Team (IDT) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as needed
• Complete daily documentation as required

Schedule

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (BSN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current Illinois Health Care Worker Registry status
• Current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers
• Proficient First Aid skills
• Ability to perform essential job functions and meet functional and environmental requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• IDPH certification to perform annual vision screening
• Prior nursing experience in a school setting

Compensation

• LPN: $29.25 to $34.00 per hour
• RN: $31.25 to $36.00 per hour
• Rates based on qualifications and experience
