The opportunity
Job Description
Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a School Nurse for a full-time contract position. You will provide one-to-one nursing care and medical support to a student who requires feeding tube management and epilepsy-related care during the school day. This role is based in Boston with a woman-SLP-owned company that prioritizes manageable caseloads and appropriate workspace.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one nursing care and medical support to the assigned student
- Manage feeding tube feeds and provide appropriate care in accordance with the student's individualized healthcare plan
- Monitor the student for seizure activity and respond appropriately to epilepsy-related medical needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and authorized
- Assess and respond to medical emergencies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
Compensation
- $70 to $80 per hour
