The opportunity

Job Description

This position provides comprehensive health care services to students and staff in a school setting. The School Nurse develops and implements health care programs in compliance with state and federal regulations, working to remove and modify health-related barriers to learning and promote optimal wellness for the school community.

Required Qualifications

  • Current valid license as a professional registered nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
  • 2-year degree in nursing
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical or community nursing experience
  • Minimum 200 days of nursing practice within the last 4 years
  • Eligibility for Vermont Agency of Education licensure

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $29,982 to $50,130 for RNs
  • Benefits provided as per Teachers Negotiated Agreement
