Anoka-Hennepin School District is seeking a Licensed School Nurse to provide comprehensive health services to students at Madison Elementary and Jefferson Elementary schools. This full-time position focuses on maintaining student health, conducting assessments and screenings, developing health care plans, managing disease prevention and surveillance, and performing medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain student optimum health through direct nursing care
- Conduct student health assessments and screenings
- Develop and implement student health care plans
- Perform health referrals and medical procedures
- Maintain comprehensive health documentation
- Implement disease prevention and surveillance protocols
- Triage health concerns and respond quickly and calmly to student needs
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student health information
Required Qualifications
- Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Licensed School Nurse (LSN) license
- Current Minnesota RN license
- Public Health Nurse (PHN) certificate
- CPR/AED certification for health care providers
- Ability to triage and respond quickly and decisively to health concerns
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to accept and utilize supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Interest in working in a fast-paced nursing role with children and adolescents
Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time position (1.0 FTE)
- Start date: October 1, 2026 (can be filled immediately by a properly licensed candidate)
- Salary: $53,529 to $106,751 based on full-time equivalency and verified placement on the salary schedule
