School Licensed Practical Nurse - Westwood, MA (1099 Contract)

Constellation Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide medication management and direct patient care for pediatric students with complex medical needs during specialized school transportation between Westwood and Chestnut Hill.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:50-9:50 AM and 2:00-4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:50-9:50 AM and 12:00-2:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed
• Provide direct patient care and skilled nursing support during transportation
• Manage complex medical needs including emergency care, seizure disorder management, oxygen monitoring, and suctioning
• Implement the plan of care initiated by the registered nurse
• Provide accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care
• Assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care
• Assist the registered nurse or physician in performing specialized procedures, including preparing equipment and materials for treatments and observing aseptic technique
• Use equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently
• Participate in personal and professional growth and development
• Perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse

Required Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state
• Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program
• Experience working with pediatrics with complex medical needs
• Valid driver's license with a personally owned, insured automobile in good working order
• CPR certification as per state regulations
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication and organizational skills
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practice
