SAH Patient Care Technician

Saint Annes Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide cross-functional support combining secretarial, clerical, and nursing assistant duties under the direction of a registered nurse. This full-time day shift position is based at Saint Annes Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care, including proper patient preparation for provider visits, verification and collection of relevant patient information, and completion of necessary follow-up
• Assist providers during in-office procedures using all necessary techniques
• Maintain knowledge of the operation and condition of all medical devices and equipment used in the department
• Maintain knowledge of all clinical systems, protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for patient care duties and responsibilities
• Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
• Clean and maintain exam and procedure rooms and equipment between patients and at the end of the day according to established protocol
• Maintain a clean work area, prepare patient rooms, and manage supply levels or facilitate reordering as necessary
• Troubleshoot minor equipment problems and notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs
• Remain flexible with changing departmental and organizational needs

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduation from an accredited nursing assistant training program
• Minimum one year of experience as a nursing assistant or completion of at least one semester of basic clinical experience as a student nurse
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Day shift
• No driving required

Compensation

• Pay range: $20.32 to $29.68 per hour
