RN/LPN School Nurse (PRN)

Interim HealthCare Staffing is hiring experienced school nurses for PRN positions across elementary, middle, and high schools in Missouri. You will provide comprehensive health services to students during school hours, including treating injuries and acute illnesses, supporting students with chronic conditions, and delivering preventive care education on communicable disease prevention and hygiene practices.

Clinical Setting

You will work in school-based settings across multiple grade levels, with shifts Monday through Friday at various times depending on each school's needs.

Responsibilities

• Treat student injuries and mild to acute illnesses
• Support students with chronic illnesses and complex medical needs
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Manage feeding tubes and tracheostomies
• Provide preventive health education to students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents or guardians, and school staff
• Maintain organized health records and documentation

Schedule

• PRN (as-needed) flexible scheduling
• Pick shifts based on your availability
• Monday through Friday
• Various shift times depending on school location

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN or LPN license in Missouri
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical facility
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills
• Comfort with feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and medication administration
