Memorial Hermann is seeking a Registered Nurse for a supplemental Preop/OR/Endo/IV Infusion position. This role involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care in perioperative and related clinical settings. You will conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments, provide patient education, and maintain medical records while prioritizing safety, compassion, and efficiency.
Schedule
- Varied days, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- No call required
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills inventory and patient age and needs
- Coordinate planning for nursing care delivery with an interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with, direct, and delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data, research, and evidence
- Coordinate treatment plans and develop or implement discharge and transfer plans
- Participate in systematic evaluation of programs, process improvement, and client-centered outcomes
- Consider diverse patient needs throughout the continuum of care and optimize patient experience
- Adhere to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards
- Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to Memorial Hermann policies and procedures
- Promote professional growth by meeting mandatory and continuing education requirements and skills competency
- May serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current State of Texas RN license or temporary/compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- RN experience level: RN I (less than 1 year), RN II (1-3 years), RN III (3-10 years), or RN IV (10+ years)
Preferred Qualifications
- Perioperative experience
- Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
