RN Residency and Nurse Extern II - Winter 2026 grads

Hospital Sisters Health System is hiring registered nurses for a residency program designed for Winter 2026 nursing graduates. This full-time position offers an excellent transition into professional nursing practice with structured support and mentorship.

Clinical Setting

You will work at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois, in one of two departments: Medical-Surgical or OB. The organization operates 13 hospitals and numerous community-based health centers and clinics throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.

Schedule

• Full-time nights: 36 hours per week, 7pm to 7am

Compensation and Sign-On Bonus

• Pay range: $32.00 to $48.00 per hour
• Actual pay rate based on relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education
• Sign-on bonus up to $12,500 for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry positions

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must not require sponsorship for an employment visa, either now or in the future
• Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Healthcare experience
