The opportunity

Job Description

Hospital Sisters Health System is recruiting nursing students graduating in Summer 2027 to join our healthcare team. You can begin as a Nurse Extern II during your final semester of nursing school and transition directly into an RN position upon obtaining your license.

Clinical Setting

This position is available across multiple clinical departments including Operating Room, Telemetry, Coronary Care Unit, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical, and Obstetrics at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 36 hours per week
  • Night shift

Compensation

  • Pay range: $32.00 to $48.00 per hour
  • Actual pay rate based on relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education
  • Sign-on bonus up to $12,500 available for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry positions

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Healthcare experience
