The opportunity

Job Description

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking Summer 2027 graduate nurses to join our healthcare team through an RN Residency and Nurse Extern II program. You are eligible to start as a Nurse Extern II during your final semester of nursing school and transition directly into your RN position once you obtain your license.

Clinical Setting

  • Departments: Medical-Surgical, Emergency Department
  • Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital
  • Location: Highland, Illinois

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Compensation and Sign-On

  • Pay range: $30.50 to $46.80 per hour
  • Actual pay rate based on relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education
  • Sign-on bonus up to $10,000

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Must not require sponsorship for an employment visa, either now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Healthcare experience
