RN - Registered Nurse - Surgical Services - PRN Days

Join UAB St. Vincent's Chilton as a Registered Nurse in Surgical Services on a PRN Days schedule. You will provide direct nursing care to surgical patients, implementing and monitoring individualized care plans while coordinating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive, well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

• Active Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing
• One year of RN experience
• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date
