This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in PICC vascular services. As a Registered Nurse, you will practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects. You will provide routine and complex care, manage long-range goals and plans, and develop your ability to manage clinical contingencies. You will make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation.
Responsibilities
- Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
- Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice
- Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and resources
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in state of employment or compact
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- One year of experience in related nursing specialty
