Geisinger is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Marworth Inpatient Substance Use Disorders Facility in Waverly, PA. This inpatient role focuses on providing compassionate nursing care to patients with substance use disorders in a structured clinical environment.
You will assess patient needs, develop and coordinate individualized plans of care, and provide direct nursing interventions including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies. You will work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to address the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout their hospitalization. Your responsibilities include patient and family education, discharge planning, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and participating in quality and safety improvement initiatives.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Every other weekend and holiday required

Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments according to scope of practice and unit standards
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families
- Formulate, coordinate, and provide individualized plans of care including patient and family education and discharge planning
- Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise care plans based on patient response
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs
- Troubleshoot and take corrective measures in equipment care and handling
- Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding evidence-based practice
- Work as an active team member toward unit and organizational goals
- Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and departmental improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing
- Active Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
