RN Registered Nurse Operating Room Internship Program November

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to participate in an Operating Room Internship Program. This five-month structured program is designed to prepare nurses for roles in the operating room environment. You will work Monday through Friday day shift during the program, transitioning to evening shift upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes
• Make appropriate decisions and implement interventions based on nursing diagnoses according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs
• Set measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care
• Prioritize and complete follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed
• Support quality standards and initiatives set by the department, exhibiting a desire to learn, teach, mentor, and advance nursing skills
• Apply knowledge and skills pertaining to all diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment associated with unit patient population

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support CPR certification
• Minimum one year of experience in an inpatient or Emergency Department setting preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Schedule and Employment

• Full-time position
• Day shift during the five-month program, then evening shift
• Monday through Friday during program
• No paid time off can be taken during the program duration due to the inability to make up missed time
