This is a PRN (as-needed) Registered Nurse position in Nursing Administration. You will practice independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while demonstrating awareness of relevant clinical aspects. The role involves managing contingencies, making appropriate assignments, and delegating to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
- Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to your level of practice
- Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education; identify issues and resources
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in state of employment or compact
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- One year of experience in the related nursing specialty
