RN Registered Nurse Inpatient (PRN L1) - Nursing Operating Room 1

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Operating Room on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position provides inpatient nursing care in a surgical setting within a 281-bed acute care facility serving the greater Harrisburg region.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs
• Develop and implement nursing care plans
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients
• Administer medications and monitor for reactions and side effects
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and reports
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention

Clinical Setting

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is an acute inpatient medical facility featuring a four-story Ortenzio Heart Center and around-the-clock complex critical care services. The facility serves Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Northern York counties with both outpatient and inpatient locations.

Schedule

• Work Type: PRN (as-needed)
• Shift: Day shift, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• FTE: 0.001

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
• BLS certification required prior to orientation completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
