RN, Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Radiology

This position is for a Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Radiology within the OneCHRISTUS health system. You will provide routine and complex nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures, practicing independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects. You will manage patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation
• Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Practice consistently with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact license
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
