Piedmont Eastside is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This position offers a weekend schedule working every Saturday and Sunday, 2 x 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A sign-on bonus is available.
Clinical Setting
Piedmont Eastside Medical Center's Surgical Services provides sophisticated and advanced outpatient and inpatient surgical care. The department features three Intuitive Da Vinci Robots for surgery, Mako Robotic Surgery for total knee replacements, state-of-the-art laparoscopic surgery with Stryker SPY-PHU 4K fluorescence capability, advanced minimally invasive neurosurgery with Stealth Technology, advanced and robotic urology surgery, and high-volume orthopedic surgery including total joint replacements. The facility also offers comprehensive endoscopy services and high-volume endovascular surgery including TCAR and EVAR procedures. ICU-level PACU services are available.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments including collection of data regarding physical, psychosocial, and health history
- Evaluate the developmental age of patients when performing assessments, treatments, and patient/family education
- Organize patient data into the formulation of a plan of care; identify additional information needed and make care decisions based on identified needs
- Carry out the plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes
- Provide patient care specific to the setting, identified needs, and plan; ensure care is appropriate to the severity of disease, condition, impairment, or disability
- Oversee activities of ancillary and support team members
- Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources necessary for achieving educational goals of patients
- Communicate issues and concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and/or physician as appropriate
- Document patient care and concerns in the patient record
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS certification
- New graduates of a nursing program are eligible
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
