RN - Operating Room - Part Time - Rotating Shifts

Meritus Medical Center's Operating Room is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a part-time position working 48 hours biweekly on rotating shifts. The OR provides 24/7/365 surgical services utilizing state-of-the-art technology and serves a wide range of surgical specialties.

You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical technicians in a fast-paced perioperative environment. This role offers exposure to diverse surgical procedures and the opportunity to utilize advanced technology, including robotics and minimally invasive techniques.

Surgical Specialties

The OR performs procedures across the following specialties:

• Neurosurgery
• Robotics
• General Surgery
• Bariatrics
• OB/GYN
• ENT/Eyes
• Orthopedics
• Trauma
• Urology
• Podiatry
• Dental
• Cath Lab
• Pain Services
• Endoscopy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a hospital setting
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland, or a Registered Nurse license from a state participating in the Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege"
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to apply standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy
• Basic computer skills
• High level of organization and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Schedule

• Part-time position
