RN – Operating Room (OR)

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at a California facility. You will provide intraoperative nursing care, circulate and support surgical procedures including Da Vinci robotic surgery, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and maintain a sterile environment. This role requires strong surgical technique, sterile field management, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care using the nursing process
• Circulate and support surgical procedures, including Da Vinci robotic surgery
• Coordinate care, delegate tasks, and supervise staff
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and sterile environment
• Support patient education and continuity of care

Schedule

• Day shift with 10-hour shifts
• Friday call required (alternating 1st and 2nd call)
• One weekend call every 5–6 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• PALS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Da Vinci robotic surgery experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care operating room experience

• Vaccinations required (medical and religious exemptions may apply)

Compensation

• $2,360 – $2,644 per week
