RN - Operating Room

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a staff RN to join the Operating Room team at this 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. This position offers the opportunity to utilize specialized training and nursing knowledge in a multidisciplinary clinical environment focused on quality patient care and professional development.

Clinical Setting

Good Samaritan Hospital is the area's only hospital and features a Level III Trauma center, Family Birth Center, Neonatal ICU, Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, Children's Therapy Unit, and 24-hour Emergency Department. The hospital includes innovative facilities such as the LEED Gold-certified Dally Tower and Pulse Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis
• Utilize nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
• Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Schedule

• FTE: 0.8
• Shift: Evening (1430-2300)
• 8-hour shifts
• Call requirements and holiday rotations

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
• Current BLS Certification
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification as required by facility or department

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
• Certification in specialty area
• One year of experience in acute care setting

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range: $48.15 - $90.83 USD per hour
