Join the perioperative team as an RN Operating Room Coordinator at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, a 267-bed top-performing quality hospital. In this role, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver quality intra-operative care. You will provide preventative and supportive care to each patient based on their individual needs while working in a dynamic surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situations
- Assess and monitor patients' medical status while in the operating room
- Assess patient condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care
- Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients
- Ensure the operating room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
- Keep the operating room sterilized
- Review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care

Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
- BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
- ACLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
- PALS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of previous perioperative experience or completion of a Perioperative Nursing course
- 3 years of RN experience in an acute care environment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- CNOR certification
