RN - IV Infusion Center

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the IV Infusion Center. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapy, working as part of a 24/7 care team. You will implement, monitor, and evaluate patient care plans while administering prescribed medications and treatments, documenting patient conditions, and coordinating discharge needs. Patient and family education is an important component of this position.

Schedule

• 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to infusion center patients
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
• Educate patients and their families

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• One year of current acute care RN experience (licensed military RN experience will be considered)
• Critical Care Course or validated on-the-job training for critical care settings
• Periop 101 or validated on-the-job training for operating room settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours
• Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids
• Medium work capacity: exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly
• Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to standard precautions
