RN Charge Nurse Leader - Operating Room

Kettering Health Main Campus is seeking an RN Charge Nurse Leader for the Operating Room. This full-time position works 12-hour night shifts with weekend commitment. You will serve as a clinical leader responsible for assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating safe and effective patient-centered care during your assigned shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, implement, and evaluate delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care
• Facilitate, precept, and mentor staff and team members to support professional growth and skill advancement
• Continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts
• Collaborate with clinical and nonclinical departments to coordinate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Demonstrate professionalism and hold team members accountable for safe, competent practice and quality care
• Support continual improvement initiatives
• Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio
• Bachelor's degree required within 3 years of hire
• CPR certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications as required by unit (if not current, must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities
• Demonstrated professional and ethical behavior
• Willingness to work days or nights with weekend commitment

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3-4 years of OR experience
• Leadership experience
