This position involves providing restorative nursing care to patients in a post-acute care facility. As a Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant, you will carry out patient-related restorative nursing functions that are predetermined for each patient and assigned by the Restorative Nurse, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Responsibilities
- Lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients
- Assist patients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Provide physician-ordered exercise to each patient
- Accurately document and chart patient care
- Respond to call lights promptly
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Maintain professional working relationships with all associates and vendors
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a State-approved CNA program
- Currently registered or licensed as a CNA in your applicable state; must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- Completed restorative nursing training
- CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; must remain current during employment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Dependable, regular attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of geriatric nursing experience

- Knowledge of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post-acute care facilities
- Understanding and adherence to company policies including harassment and compliance procedures

- Completion of mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Competency in patient rights, safety, and sanitation
