Registered Nurse

This position is a Registered Nurse role focused on resident care in a long-term care or assisted living setting. You will be responsible for admitting new residents, performing comprehensive assessments of their physical and mental health, and managing their ongoing care according to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Admit new residents and conduct initial health assessments
• Perform ongoing assessments of residents' physical and mental health status
• Interview patients and record their medical history and physical condition
• Obtain and monitor patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration
• Review medical charts and maintain accurate documentation
• Plan and manage patient care according to each resident's individual needs
• Explain procedures and treatment protocols to residents and their families
• Administer medications and monitor catheters
• Provide wound care and prepare and administer injections
• Prepare specimens for lab courier
• Provide routine care and assist with patient comfort
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Assist physicians and other registered nurses as needed
