This position delivers nursing care to residents in a home health and hospice setting in Tooele. You will assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, administer nursing care, and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Utah
- Clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet job requirements
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team
- Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Proven decision-making and analytical skills
- Ability to relate positively, favorably, and cooperatively with employees, residents, family members, and personnel of outside agencies and organizations
- Positive attitude and desire to work with the aging population
