Registered Nurse - Urology

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Urology department. In this role, you will provide routine and complex nursing care to assigned patients, practicing independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects. You will manage long-range care goals and plans, develop your ability to handle clinical contingencies, and make appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education; identify issues and resources
• Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Part-time position
