Spring Valley Hospital, a 366-bed acute care facility in southwest Las Vegas, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Surgery department, working day shifts. You will provide safe, competent nursing care for surgical patients in accordance with facility policies and standards, with a foundation in patient-centered care. You will work as part of the healthcare team, demonstrate service excellence, and may oversee and guide employees under your supervision.
Spring Valley Hospital is part of The Valley Health System and offers advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries, comprehensive surgical services, and other specialty programs. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission with advanced certifications in Primary Heart Attack, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke, and Hip and Knee Total Joint Replacement.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing care for surgical patients
- Deliver care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
- Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times
- Oversee and guide employees under your supervision
Schedule
- Full-time, day shift position
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Completion of a specialty course or equivalent
- One year of acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification (adult patients), current PALS certification (pediatric patients), or current NRP certification (neonatal patients) as required by department
- Other certifications as may be required by facility, specialty, or department
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Compensation
- Starting salary: $41.90 to $62.76 per hour
