Registered Nurse- Surgery- Days

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgery department on a part-time, day shift basis. In this role, you will deliver excellent patient care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment using evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care approaches. You will work in a Catholic, not-for-profit health system committed to treating patients physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Responsibilities

• Apply the Quality Caring Model to plan and manage care for routine surgical patients
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate continuum of care planning
• Communicate fundamental patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team
• Demonstrate acceptable performance using the nursing process

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in surgery or circulating
• Authorization to work in the United States without work visa or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
