The Registered Nurse Supervisor provides coordinated, goal-oriented clinical operations of the Nursing/Medical Clinic at Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF)-Oak Park Heights. This position oversees medical, nursing, dental, laboratory, and medical records services for incarcerated individuals. You will assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate all operational and clinical functions; direct and manage the overall coordination and delivery of health care services; and collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations to apply fiscal, human, and technical resources to meet facility health care needs.
Clinical Setting
This position is located at a correctional facility and involves working in a secured healthcare environment serving an incarcerated population.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate operational and clinical functions
- Direct and manage overall coordination and delivery of health care services
- Provide clinical leadership for nursing, medical, dental, laboratory, and medical records services
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations on resource allocation and strategic planning
- Address facility current and long-range health care needs
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Minnesota Registered Nurse license without restrictions, limitations, or conditions
- Three years of nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, and/or correctional setting (Note: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field may substitute for one year of experience)
- Demonstrated leadership experience, which may include experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, or completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g., ELI or SLI)
- Communication and human relations skills sufficient to communicate effectively with others and guide and direct staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing or closely related field
- Experience as a supervisor in a healthcare setting
- Nursing experience in a correctional or secured setting
- Experience working in a correctional or secured setting
- Nursing experience in specialized clinical areas such as gender-specific, geriatric, juvenile health care, medical/surgery unit, and/or behavioral health
- Experience in developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
Schedule
- Full-time, unlimited position
- Rotating shift with varying hours and days of work

Compensation
- Hourly: $45.01 - $66.81
- Annual: $93,980 - $139,499

Physical Requirements
Pre-placement physical components may be required, including tuberculosis screening and/or respirator clearance. The selected finalist must review and sign a Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) for this position.
