Job Description

Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to students ages 12-18 with emotional and behavioral challenges in a year-round therapeutic educational and residential program.

Clinical Setting

Located on the historic campus in Towson, Maryland, this Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved level V nonpublic school offers structured community and recreational activities alongside full-day special and general education schooling. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a therapeutic environment dedicated to supporting students' health and well-being throughout their educational journey.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to students with various medical needs
Administer medications and manage medication-related support with the school psychiatrist
Perform wound care and first aid as needed
Coordinate with caregivers to provide medical treatment based on each student's health needs and history
Maintain cumulative and comprehensive documentation for each student's health record

Required Qualifications

Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
Valid license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland

Preferred Qualifications

One year of working experience in a school setting

Note: Any RN with less than one year of experience will automatically be placed in Sheppard Pratt's Nurse Residency Program.

Saturdays and Sundays
7am-11pm

Pay range: $37.08 to $56.83 per hour (based on years and level of related experience)
