Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Circulating RN to join the Operating Room team in a part-time position. You will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, Spine, Gynecological, ENT, Plastics, Digestive, Bariatric, and General Surgery. The hospital operates 12 operating rooms with a Monday-Friday surgery schedule and minimal on-call requirements for OR staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate all surgical patients
  • Assess for and anticipate the needs of surgeons
  • Manage operating room suites in accordance with AORN guidelines with emphasis on patient safety
  • Conduct proper documentation and provide high-quality patient care
  • Serve as a supportive member of the surgical services team

Northwest Specialty Hospital is a physician-owned specialty hospital with 12 operating rooms and 28 inpatient beds, along with multiple clinics and services throughout Kootenai County. Schedule

Monday-Friday surgery schedule with minimal on-call requirements for OR staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho
  • Active BLS certification
  • ACLS certification required within six months of employment
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communication for safe and effective patient care and documentation
  • Awareness of professional nursing standards and performance in accordance with them
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing experience
