Ashley Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our clinic setting. In this role, you will coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, serve as a patient advocate, and work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and nursing care needs
- Set goals and prescribe appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
- Develop individual nursing care plans
- Implement care plans and make revisions as needed
- Evaluate patient care outcomes
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies
- Communicate with patients and oversee provision of care
- Provide patients and families with instruction and education relevant to their condition
- Accurately document nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and care provided
- Maintain facility equipment, supplies, and work areas
- Assist in the orientation of new employees
- Coordinate and supervise activities of employees and department operations
- Participate in performance and process improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current RN license in state of practice
- One year or less of nursing experience
- BCLS certification upon completion of hospital orientation
- ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire or transfer date
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Physical and Mental Demands
The position requires occasional standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Repetitive upper body motion is required for extended computer use. Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
You will work in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment, some of which may have moving mechanical parts. In the hospital environment, you may be exposed to hazards and unusual elements including bloodborne pathogens, contagious illnesses, toxic chemicals, and biohazardous materials, which may require extensive safety precautions and use of protective equipment. Noise levels are typical for an office and hospital environment.
Travel Requirements
Minimum overnight travel up to 10% by land and/or air.
