The opportunity

Job Description

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility in Denison, Texas, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Vascular Access (PICC) placement. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule and comprehensive benefits. You will provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards, with a focus on patient-centered care and service excellence.

Clinical Setting

Texoma Medical Center serves North Texas and Southern Oklahoma from its main campus in Denison, approximately one hour north of Dallas/Fort Worth. The facility operates as a 414-bed acute care hospital with major specialty services including open heart surgery, neurosurgery, and certified trauma care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy
  • Perform PICC line insertions and vascular access procedures
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times
  • Practice patient-centered care as the foundation for all nursing interventions

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas nursing license or compact license
  • Two years of acute care experience, including IV insertions
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification per RQI program guidelines
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment assessment(s)
  • Ability to identify and competently address needs of populations served

Licenses and Certifications

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. BLS Healthcare Provider certification per RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
