Registered Nurse (RN) - Substitute School Nursing

BAYADA is seeking Registered Nurses for a long-term substitute school nurse position in Waterford Works for the 2026/2027 school year. This is an ongoing opportunity to provide nursing care in a school setting, with one-on-one school nursing opportunities and bus runs also available.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a school environment, providing direct nursing care to students and supporting their health and wellness needs throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client and student assessments
• Provide training and education to students and families
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
• Communicate with members of the student's multidisciplinary team
• Manage nursing supplies and equipment
• Respond to and manage emergency situations

Required Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatrics experience (industry-leading training is available through BAYADA if you do not have this background)

Compensation

• Substitute school nursing: $35 per hour
• Special rates available on weekends with commitment
