Registered Nurse (RN) - Richmond Float Pool - Critical Care/Stepdown/Med Surg

Join Bon Secours' Richmond Float Pool as a Registered Nurse with the flexibility to work across multiple clinical settings and facilities. As a float nurse, you will provide advanced treatment and care to patients with complex diagnoses across medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down, critical care, behavioral health, and emergency department units based on your skill set and facility needs.

Clinical Settings

You will float among five Bon Secours facilities in the Richmond market:

• St. Mary's Hospital (Richmond – West End)
• St. Francis Medical Center (Midlothian)
• Richmond Community Hospital (Richmond-Churchill)
• Memorial Regional Medical Center (Mechanicsville)
• Southside Medical Center (Petersburg)

Unit Availability

You may be assigned to any of the following units based on clinical needs and your qualifications:

• Medical-Surgical, Ortho, Oncology
• Step Down/Telemetry
• Progressive Care (PCU)
• Critical Care/Intensive Care (ICU/CCU)
• Behavioral Health (requires floor med/surg experience)
• Emergency Department (ER)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide advanced treatment and care to patients with complex diagnoses
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with Virginia State of Practice and Bon Secours policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling with your choice of availability
• Full-time night shift
• Every third weekend required
• One summer and one winter holiday required
• Shift differential available for night and weekend shifts

Required Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Two or more years of clinical RN experience required in at least two or more specialties
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Nursing

Compensation

• Minimum: $34.33 per hour
• Maximum: $54.93 per hour
