We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to our residents in a long-term care setting. You will work as part of a collaborative nursing team, supported by a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Administrator. This role offers comprehensive training, support, and mentorship to help you deliver the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Enhance clinical care and quality of life for residents while ensuring all resident rights are protected
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Conduct daily assessments of all residents to ensure prescribed treatments are properly administered and to evaluate their physical and emotional status
- Keep the RN Supervisor informed about resident, staff, and facility status
- Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses
- Administer professional nursing services including catheterization, tube feeding, suctioning, applying and changing dressings and bandages, colostomy and drainage bag management, and specimen collection (blood, sputum, urine)
- Complete all required record-keeping forms and charts for resident admission, discharge, transfer, and ongoing care
- Give and receive nursing reports at the beginning and end of each shift
- Investigate complaints and grievances and report findings to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses
- Maintain a professional image through appropriate dress, behavior, and communication with residents and families
- Adhere to facility policies and standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work scheduled shifts
