The opportunity

Job Description

Join PAM Health Dallas's brand-new rehabilitation hospital opening this fall as a Registered Nurse (RN) on the night shift. This is an opportunity to help shape exceptional patient care from day one in a newly established facility.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a rehabilitation hospital providing care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The facility is part of PAM Health's network of specialty healthcare services focused on post-acute care.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, you will:

  • Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising patient care
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide direct patient care to assigned patients
  • Participate in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning
  • Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization care
  • Access and coordinate community resources as needed
  • Perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned (ACLS certification required for this role)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Schedule

  • PRN (as-needed) nights position
  • Flexible scheduling available

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates
  • Current BLS certification (AHA approved)
  • ACLS certification (AHA approved) required within 90 days of employment
  • Current ACLS certification required if performing Charge Nurse duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
