The opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Florida on a per diem basis. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a post-acute and long-term care setting, working with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

We are hiring 4 per diem nurses: 2 for night shift and 2 for day shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed
  • Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and appropriate team members
  • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and resident care conferences
  • Educate residents and family members regarding treatment plans, medications, and healthcare needs
  • Promote a safe, quality-focused environment while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and skilled nursing regulations
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • IV certification and wound care experience
  • Bilingual skills
